Ohio Thoroughbred Owners & Breeders (OTBO) A non-profit association formed to promote the thoroughbred horse racing industry in Ohio and improve the breeding and quality of thoroughbreds and racing in the state.

Ohio Harness Horsemen's Association (OHHA) A non-profit association that works to preserve, protect and promote the interests of its members-- owners, trainers, drivers and breeders. It offers insurance services and information, and represents horsemen in negotiations with commercial harness tracks.

Horsemen's Benevolent & Protective Association (HBPA) The HBPA represents thoroughbred horsemen, provides insurance services and information, and promotes the exchange of ideas and the preservation of live racing in the state.

United States Trotting Association (USTA) A national trade association based in Columbus, the USTA formulates racing rules; disseminates racing information; serves as the breed's registry; endeavors to ensure integrity; and promotes the sport.
